Tuesday July 3, 2018: Writing Prompt Challenge

img_1654Christine Ray is known for her writing prompt challenges on her blog Brave and Reckless. She has been an incredible host of this Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge at the Go Dog Go Cafe. Currently, due to her increased responsibilities, Deveraux Frazier and Beth Amanda will attempt to carry on this fun challenge.

The prompts are designed to be quick challenges that can be written in 10 to 15 minutes, inspire you creatively, are fun, and get everyone interacting. Please post your response to the prompt in the comments below and show your fellow posters some love and support. All members of the Go Dog Go community, including Baristas, are welcome to participate. Feel free to share this post on your own blogs and/or Facebook.

We are always looking for cool, quick writing prompts. If you have a great idea for a future Tuesday prompt challenge, send it to Beth at midwestfantasy333@gmail.com or DeveReaux at devfrazier@icloud.com.

Today’s prompt is “What love will make you do?’’

Happy Writing!

  1. “What love will make you do?…” WEEP!

    Heads bowed on weak knees
    They say the prayers
But their soul is lost in grieve
Their heart moves to the tune of misery
Their dignity is sold for profit.

I watched the slave trade in 21st Century
    And I weep.
Of domestic workers labouring to meet today’s need,
Food and a shelter to lay
For these they are sold as slaves

    Let love weep!
    And you my friends,
I challenge you to fight for what is left.
