On A Journey- Michael Erickson

On a journey through the dark,

Hands outstretched finding a way.

Hope is small within my heart,

As I walk the stranger way.

Swiftly do my fears combine,

To hedge the way before me.

Terror strikes beneath my skin,

As all turns to blood and bone.

But I feel within the abyss,

Your hands wrap around my own.

And with your tears and whispered love,

Break down the growing walls.

Together we move along a path,

Now more clear than when I began.

I see a light burning bright within you,

Kindling my hopes once more.
