Michael Erickson- Secret

Knock on this door,

So it will open wide.

Lift your mouth to the shadows,

Whisper your soul inside.

Memories that come from places within,

Flood this new darkness to turn into sin.

  1. Michael, I like this poem and how it hints at something we are familiar with and yet remain in wonder with curiosity. What is this whisper? What is darkness that turns to sin? Who is knocking at the door? Questions we almost dare not ask for the answers we get. Very nice. — Stephen

    • Thank you again for more great feedback! Sorry, I am so slow to respond. I had those same questions as this poem was typed up. There is more to this poem than what the eye sees, but it is for the individual to know and share.
