Michael Erickson- A Fire

A fire started within me,

Upon this cold desert floor.

From within my empty pit,

do embers hiss and crack.

I am born from within,

awaiting the sunrise of life.

I found myself upon a frosted pool,

Waiting for your touch.

And when you reached for me,

Our souls were met burning within our love.
