Guest Barista Michael Erickson- Imperfect

I am imperfect,

As a bird taking flight.

My feet have walked a crooked path,

Differing greatly from those by my side.

I have made offenses,

And foot the blame.

I am imperfect,

As a drop of rain falling from the sky.

Mistakes flow from my body,

Rippling the fabric of Life.

I am imperfect,

As the rolling thunder of a passing storm.

I am imperfect.

Michael is a husband, father, writer, poet, and aspiring author. He finds time to scribble down his thoughts in the dead of night, between ghosts and night owls. If you’d like to read more of his poetry follow the link here. Or to visit his full blog, ‘The Ink Owl’ click here.
