Now is a snowflake
of time that lands
on your tongue

you feel it
you taste it
it was real
but then
it is gone

you savored it
you saved it
as a memory
but there is
no proof
no trophy
of the moment
to  show

leave no momentos

dried flowers
in a book
prove there was
a Spring

leave only memories
of a now with you
I will never forget
and that is proof
enough for my heart

    • Thanks Roland! It always makes me happy when you comment! Yes, you have so accurately described it. That is why I compared them to the fleeting moment we know as Now that is here for a second and then moves quickly into the past as a memory.

  2. Excellent work, Chuck! Thank you…

all though I must roll my eyes at the “swoon is your middle name” comment.
