I Thought
-Linda Lee Lyberg
I thought I heard you speak my name
But it was only the billowing wind
Playing its mysterious mind game
Sending my heart cries into a spin
I thought I gazed upon your face today
Amidst a sea of bustling strangers
With no regard, you turned away
And all I saw were heavenly angels
I thought I felt your hand in mine
When I was walking this path alone
But closing my hand, there was no sign
I am left, deserted and on my own.

This was really a great piece on the longings and yearnings we have that don’t turn into reality!
Thanks for posting this on the Cafe site!!!! More, please!
